Dinner Tears 11

Dinner Tears 11

Chapter 11

They finally understood the consequences of what they’d done.

A few days later, Carlos, Caleb and my mother-in-law came to find me.

“Camila,” Carlos said, looking haggard. “We were wrong. Please… come home.”

Caleb’s eyes were red with tears.

“Mom, I broke up with Chloe. I saw her phone. She was cheating on me the whole time. I thought she was a good person. I didn’t know… I was wrong.”

“Please, forgive me.”

My mother-in-law chimed in, her voice suddenly soft and pitiful, “Camila, this is all my fault. I’m old and foolish… I couldn’t see clearly.”

‘These past few days, the court’s been coming to evict us. Soon we’ll have nowhere to go. Car you really bear to see your family homeless?”

stared at them from the doorway, my gaze as cold as ice.

Why should I care if you have nowhere to go?” I said slowly.

When you threw me out like trash, did you ever wonder where I would sleep?”

Carlos pleaded again, “Let’s not drag this out. Let the past. We can start over.”

No.” My voice was firm.

I’ve already filed for divorce. The house and the savings, everything you relied on, are mine. Al ›re-marital assets. You won’t get a single cent.”

You have one day to move out.”

Carlos’s expression turned vicious, “Don’t be unreasonable, Camila.”

Caleb sneered, “I’m your only son. If you cut me off, who’ll take care of you when you’re old?”

laughed, light and cold.

A son like you? I’d rather be alone.”

From this moment on, we’re finished. I’ll just pretend I raised a dog that bites.”

And with that, I slammed the door in their faces.

The court soon finalized the divorce. The house was legally mine. They were evicted with nothing.

But I didn’t move back in.

Instead, I sold the house without hesitation.

That house, once filled with my dreams, my sacrifices, had become nothing but a tomb for my pain.

I wasn’t going to carry those memories any longer. I was done being the virtuous wife. I was

done with them all.

Later, I heard Chloe couldn’t survive the scandal.

She was too picky for regular work, so she became someone’s mistress.

The man’s wife caught her and shattered her leg.

Carlos and Caleb? Their reputations were so rotten they couldn’t even get hired as janitors.

The three of them ended up wandering the streets with the old woman, scraping for meals.

But none of that mattered to me anymore.

A week later, I moved into my new home.

I sat alone on the balcony, the sun warming my skin, the wind brushing gently against my face.

I took a deep breath, savoring the sweet scent of freedom.

For the first time in years, I felt warm inside.

I knew one thing with absolute certainty.

My new life had just begun.
