Chapter 15: The Third Party
At the entrance of the club, two bodyguards stood guard.
When Liam tried to enter with Natalie, one of the bodyguards waved his arm, blocking them.
Seeing this, Liam’s expression darkened, his eyes flashing with displeasure. “My uncle sent me.
What’s the meaning of this?”
The bodyguard, a towering figure, spoke coldly. “I need to report inside.”
Liam was about to explode when Natalie gently tugged at his sleeve.

She realized that Marcus was deliberately making things difficult for her, so she smiled sweetly at
the bodyguard. “I can wait here. Can Liam go in first?”
Since last night’s rain, the temperature had dropped significantly.
The night air was cold, and the draft from the club was biting.
Natalie, dressed in a satin dress for appearance’s sake, felt as if she were almost naked, shivering from the cold with her nose turning red.
The bodyguard, unmoved, refused firmly. “No.”
Liam’s face darkened.
After waiting for more than ten minutes in the cold wind, the bodyguard finally returned.
“You can go in now.”
Liam stepped forward, shooting a warning glance at the bodyguard.
The bodyguard ignored him completely.
Liam gritted his teeth but didn’t say anything, as he knew Marcus and the bodyguard had a close relationship.

Chapter 15: The Third Party
Inside the private room, Marcus was playing cards with Caleb and others.
When Liam entered with Natalie, Marcus didn’t even look up.
“Uncle,” Liam gréeted first. “I brought Natalie with me.”
Just then, Caleb won a hand and cheered loudly, which muffled Liam’s voice.
Liam furrowed his brows, already irritated, and now his anger flared further.
Natalie clutched his sleeve tightly, signaling him not to react impulsively.
After another round of cards, it had been twenty minutes since they entered.
Liam seized the opportunity. “Uncle, if you have any dissatisfaction, take it out on me, but don’t make things difficult for Natalie.”
Before Marcus could speak, Caleb’s teasing voice echoed. “Tsk, you’re quite protective. Looks like
there’s something going on between you two!”
Natalie’s face turned pale.
But she knew well that Marcus and Caleb were always close.
Even aside from that, the Pei family wasn’t a family she could afford to provoke…
Marcus leaned back on the sofa, and Caleb understood immediately, tossing his cards and standing up, throwing his arm around Liam’s shoulder.
“Liam, I heard you have some good wine here. Let’s go check it out…”
It was obvious he was trying to separate Liam.
Liam was unwilling to go, fearing Marcus might make things difficult for Natalie while he was away.
He turned to Caleb. “Caleb, how about I have someone bring the wine here so we can drink right here?”
Caleb clicked his tongue, glanced at Marcus on the sofa, and said nonchalantly, “Sure.”

He casually pointed toward Natalic. “Then let the third party serve us.”
Liam shouted, “Caleb! Watch your words!”
Everyone in the room was now staring at them, clearly enjoying the drama.
Natalie’s nails dug into her palms, but she had to wear a polite smile.
She had to endure.
As the tension in the air grew thicker, Marcus’s cold voice cut through. “If you want to drink, go
somewhere else. Natalie stays here.”
Natalie was to stay alone with Marcus?
She froze, looking at Liam for help.
Marcus had spoken, and Liam didn’t dare to object. Since they were all in the same private room, whatever happened, he would be able to see it.
But when he saw Natalie’s eyes redden, his heart softened. “Uncle, what do you need to discuss? Maybe I can listen in for a while.”
Marcus finally raised his eyes, narrowing them. “We’re discussing the Rossi Corporation project. What? When did the Byrne family start listening to you?”
