The next second, Miriam suddenly burst out laughing mockingly.
Jennifer was confused. “What are you laughing at?”

Jennifer snapped back, “I’m her sister–it’s my duty to worry about this for her.”
Miriam shook her head, completely exasperated. “Jennifer, talking to you is like talking to a brick wall. You’ve been isolated from reality for far too long your thinking is so warped and bizarre.

There was a knock at the door, breaking the tense silence. “Dr. Nelson, it’s almost 2 PM, Your afternoon patients have already checked in and are waiting in line.”
Jennifer replied, “Got it.” She straightened her white coat and walked out. Before leaving, she turned to Miriam, her face expressionless, and said coolly, “You need to leave now.”

Benny suddenly interjected, “Who’s blood related to whom?” Mirians jumped in surprise, whirling around to find Benny standing right behind her she hadn’t even noticed when he’d been behind her. Her hand flow to her chest. “Benny What are you doing here?”
Benny shrugged. “Well, you know, Hayden from the Lynn family isn’t feeling well, so just came by to check on him and offer my family’s regards Bengy raised an eyebrow at Miriam. “So, what brings you to the hospital?”
“I’ve got a cold, just here to pick up some meds.”
“Then where are your meds?” Benny asked, cycling, Miriam’s empty hands.
“Well, I’m heading to the pharmacy on the second floor to get my meds. Won’t keep you from your visit. Edward’s still waiting for me outside.”
Benny blocked Miriam’s path, staring her down. “You still haven’t answered my question. I heard you say something about proving blood relations whose relations exactly, huh?”
Miriam waved him off. “You must’ve misheard me, Benny, I never said anything like that.”
“Miriam.” Benny insisted, patting her shoulder. “You’re not hiding something from me, are you? We’re such good friends. Is this about Teresa?”
Miriam gritted her teeth in frustration, thinking, ‘Oh no, Benny sticks his nose in again. Then she said, “This has nothing to do with Teresa. I’m leaving”

The airline staff had helped Jonathan monitor Teresa’s travel information. They located her return flight from Gorthany to Nareigh. Checking the time, Jonathan realized she’d already returned to Nareigh the day before.
