Once I realised 2

Once I realised 2

Jealousy is like a weed: once it sprouts, it

takes over everything.

I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that

the man I’d loved for years had someone else

in his heart.

So, at my graduation party, I spiked Danny’s

drink.

I snuck him out of there and dragged him

back to my place.

Danny lost all control and pulled me to the

bedroom the second we walked through the

door.

His kisses went from my lips to my stomach,

spreading over every inch of me.

I was hyped, but also terrified.

I didn’t just want to get him, I also wanted my

sister to walk in on the scene.

That way, Danny would have to marry me.

But that’s when I had my epiphany.

My brain flashed forward to a vision of the

く

future.

Danny would think he’d just screwed up while

drunk. Feeling obliged, he’d marry me.

But before long, he’d find out the truth and

hate my guts. Life would be hell.

Then, during one of our fights, he’d push me

down the stairs, leaving me paralyzed.

My sister would never marry and then she’d

die in an accident while traveling.

The day my sister kicked the bucket, Danny

would go out of his mind.

He’d leave me, sick and alone, to die in my

bed.

That’s when I learned this whole thing was a

tragedy novel.

Because of my jealousy, everyone would lose,

and no one would get a happy ending.
