Chapter 7

“Jason!” Bianca’s voice shattered like glass, echoing through the conference room.

She stumbled inside, her eyes frantic, clutching her phone in her trembling hand. “Jason, he’s gone! Robert is missing!”

Alpha Jason turned to her slowly, his face

devoid of emotion.

He parted his lips, but no sound emerged. The. words bounced around in his head-gone,

missing, gone-but his mind couldn’t accept or comprehend them.

Bianca grabbed his arm, shaking him. “Say

something! Do something! He’s gone!”

Jason’s jaw tightened, but his eyes were drawn to the laptop on the table. The laptop, meant to display the investor presentation, now showcased his darkest secret-images of him. and Bianca entwined, their moans filling the room through the tiny speakers.

Bianca followed his gaze, her breath hitching.

She leaned over and hit the space bar-the scandalous footage played in high definition.

“What the hell is this?” she screamed, recoiling as if burned. “Did Bella send this?”

“How would I know?” Jason finally found his voice, yelling back. “Did you give it to her?”

“Of course not!” Bianca glared, her eyes glinting. She always looked like this when she lied, but everything was too chaotic now for her to admit it. “Why would I—”

“Because you’re reckless! You’re the one who had us recorded! Do you think this is my fault?” Bianca’s face contorted with rage.

She pushed him. “Your fault? You’re the one who married her! You said she was harmless- useless, and you would get rid of her for me!”

“You should have handled her! Kept her under control!” Jason shoved her back, his voice

rising.

“All you needed to do was keep her quiet, reassure her, tell her something during

our arguments to calm her down, and you couldn’t even do that! Now look at this mess -she’s gone, my pack is ruined, the Pack Alliance investors have left, and our scandal is everywhere-”

“And our son is missing!” Bianca screamed hoarsely. “Robert-she took him! She took everything! Where is she? She needs to pay for

this!”

Their screaming echoed off the glass walls of the conference room, like accusations they

couldn’t escape.

Just as they were about to tear into each other again, the heavy double doors swung open.

An older man walked in, a cane supporting him, but his presence was like a hurricane.

He was dressed impeccably, but his eyes were as sharp as blades.

“Jason Blackwood,” the old man roared-it was his grandfather-the Old Alpha of Blackstone

Pack.

“Did you think you could hide this? Annul the mate bond and carry on with your affair?”

Jason’s back went rigid. “Grandfather-”

Old Alpha didn’t let him finish.

His cane lashed out, striking Jason’s jaw with such force that his head snapped to the side.

Bianca screamed.

The Old Alpha’s hand then lashed out, landing a harsh slap on Bianca’s face, sending her sprawling across the table.

“You,” he hissed at her. “How dare you do this? To my pack? To Bella-she who always stood by us, and you didn’t? She was good to us. Good to me. And you? You dare call yourself her friend?”

Bianca’s lips trembled, “I-I didn’t mean to-”

“I don’t care! The truth is clear now, Jason!

You’re the one responsible for this pack’s disgrace!”

Jason’s eyes widened. “No-let me explain-”

“There is no room for explanations! I entrusted you with Blackstone Pack, thinking you’d

uphold our legacy, but you dared harm others for your gain!” He punched Jason again, leaving his mind reeling from the revelations.

“Stop. This isn’t important anymore!” Bianca

suddenly screamed, her voice breaking. “Please -our son, your grandson is missing! We need your help-”

“I don’t care,” Old Alpha’s tone sliced through

the air like a knife. “You’ve brought shame to this pack. You’ve cost the pack millions. Your disgraceful acts broadcasted for all Pack Alliance to see. You hurt the only good person in

this pack. Both of you-get out.”

Jason’s eyes widened, his voice trembling. “No, you can’t. I’m your successor. You can’t strip my

“Oh, I can,” his grandfather said harshly. He pointed to the Enforcers standing by the door. “Drag them out. I don’t want to see them in this

building again.”

The two Enforcers stepped forward.

Bianca was the first to break down, screaming curses and then collapsing into sobs.

“It’s not supposed to be like this! Bella is a nobody-she’s nothing!”

Jason’s face twisted.

He broke free from an Enforcer’s grip, turning to her. “Shut up! This is your fault too! If you had kept your legs closed, we wouldn’t—”

“Oh, so it’s my fault now because you can’t keep your zipper up?” Bianca retorted, tears streaming down her face, smudging her

mascara.

“You said you loved me! You said once Bella was out of the picture-”

“Shut up!” Jason roared. “Why don’t you do something useful and call the cops instead of whining?”

As they were dragged through the Alpha office hall, their shouts and humiliation trailing

behind them like a funeral procession built on

lies.

Outside, Bianca’s hysteria peaked.

She paced up and down the sidewalk, calling Robert’s name over and over, as if he would appear out of thin air.

Jason held his phone to his ear, his other hand clutching his hair.

He called Bella once, twice, ten times, each time going straight to voicemail.

Cursing, his face flushed with fury, he dialed another number-Pack Alliance’s divorce

lawyer.

“Find her! Find that BITCH and my son!” he bellowed into the phone. “She took him—she’s kidnapping-”

The lawyer cut him off, “According to the information, you’re no longer her mate, Alphal

Jason. We can’t intervene in her affairs. You

might want to call Pack Alliance’s enforcement

team to help you find your son.”
