Teresa, at a rare playful moment, teased, “Didn’t you suggest I hang it on a dog’s neck if I didn’t wear it? Well, a little puppy snatched it away.”
Jonathan played along and said, “Really? Which puppy are you talking about?”
Teresa teased, “A little pup.”
Jonathan asked, “Is he younger than me?”
“He’s ten times younger than you,” Teresa replied.
Hearing this, Jonathan chuckled softly again, taking her words as nothing more than playful banter.
Jonathan pretended to be stern and said, “Then I’ll have to call the police. After all, that necklace is worth more than 250 thousand dollars. We’ll have to arrest that puppy.”
Teresa cleared her throat and said, “It’s getting late. If that’s all, I’ll hang up now.”

Werner sighed and said, “Cathy is not the suspicious type, so of course she didn’t suspect a thing”
Liam said, “Then it’s settled. Don’t worry. I didn’t tell a soul about that medical report. It stays strictly between you and me.”
Werner pressed his lips together and stayed silent.
Seeing Werner putting on a straight face, Liam teased him, “You got a taste of that thrill last time, didn’t you? How about another round today? We can’t let this trip go to waste.”
Werner waved his hand. “Last time, I just had too much to drink and made that stupid mistake. There goes my spotless reputation.”
