Why do I feel like this has something to do with me? I placed my arm over my eyes, Human trafficking, that’s crazy
I tossed and turned before rising out of bed, looking out the window, smiling softly at the snow falling. I opened the window, and climbed on sung on the windowsill, feet dangling.
I placed my elbow on my thigh, and held my chin up with my hand, looking off into the distance, I leaned my head back and couldn’t shake off that odd feeling.
I went back inside, closing and locking the window, feeling anxious. I jumped into bed, and looked around my room with wide eyes, feeling as though some monster would jump out of my closet.
I crawled to the edge of my bed and stood, rushing over to the door and moving down the hall, fully intending to jump into River’s bed and making my home there.
“Raven, are you still up?” I froze and turned, facing Kayla. I gestured at myself in the dark.
“Clearly,” I said, glancing towards River’s room longingly.
“I want to apologize, for the way I’ve been acting, will you walk with me?” Kayla asked, and I bit my tongue.
“Okay,” I agreed wearily, and we walked down the stairs together. I pulled on my shoes and Kayla opened the front door after insisting it wasn’t to late at night to go on a walk.
Usually, I loved late night walks, I just had an bad feeling, so I decided it would be a very short walk
“So, what did you want to say to me?” I asked as we walked down a path, my bare feet cold in the snow.
Kayla inhaled. “Look, I want what’s best for you, you know that.”
I groaned and rubbed a hand over my face. “Okay, I get it, you want to control my life, and definitely want some die-”
“I’m in love with someone else, I do not want River’s dick,” Kayla told me stiffly.
“Oh,” I said stupidly.
“So, I was going to offer, if you wanted to come live with me,” Kayla, offered. “I just didn’t want to offer that at the house-
I watched with wide eyes as she suddenly want slack and fell to the ground, I turned, just in time to get hit by whatever magic hit Kayla.
A soft groan left my lips, and I slowly opened my eyes. I gasped and kicked, leg shackled to a wall. I took a breath to calm myself and looked around.
Gray walls, I was in a small room with three other people. Two shaking small werewolves, and a small vampire boy, arms and legs shackled to the wall.
His head was bowed, curly hair dangling in his face, blood on his lips from being hit repeatedly. I glanced at the girls and felt my face twist in disgust
and horror.
They were naked and terrified.
A old door opened slow and loud due to rust, and watched a young man walk in. He gestured at me, and another guy looked in.
He whistled. “Damn, we can get some money for that,”
I said nothing to their leering and watched in/apprehension as they grabbed the two girls who screamed and thrashed, pulling them out of the room and locking the door behind them.
I grit my teeth and pulled on the restraint, panic settling deep in my bones. I knew it! I knew something horrible was going to happen!
I looked up at the vampire and exhaled as he looked at me with baby grey eyes. “Excuse me,” my voice was hushed. “How long have I been here
I was greeted with silence, and I wasn’t overly surprised. Who knew how long he had been here, and who knows what he had been through. “My

name is Raven Light, can I know your name?”
His head moved to the side, black curly hair moving with him. Does he… not understand me? I decided not to talk to him like a child or gesture figuring it would do no good, and maybe even insult him.
I sighed and reached up, wiping my eyes tiredly, wishing this whole thing was a bad dream. Kayla, what happened to her? She was knocked out tou
I banged the rusty chain into the concrete wall, ignoring the vampires pain filled eyes,
A small click filled my ears, and I looked down, stunned. It had worked!
the noise loud in his sensitive ears.
I pulled it off my foot and jumped to my feet, searching the wall for keys, to help the vampire beside me. His gray eyes followed my moments as I searched the room.
The door opened, and I froze, going stiff. “What do you think you’re doing?!” Rough hands grabbed me, and I screamed, kicking at the werewolf who manhandled me.
“Let me go you creep!” I shouted and fought to get free, someone else assisting the man as I nearly kicked my way to freedom.
The two men dragged me down a long hallway, and I flinched as bright light nearly blinded me. I was being dragged up steps, and I heard the noise of a large group of people. “Let me go you bastards!” My high voice echoed in the hall, and I was pushed onto a stage, my head pulled back by a man grabbing my hair.
