“You’re mistaken. It was just a chance encounter,” Teresa said, then turned and walked away without another word.
Werner watched as Teresa walked away, then turned to Jonathan and asked, “What’s going on between you and your ex wife?”
Jonathan did not explain. Instead, he asked Werner, “Where’s Hayden?”
Werner replied, “He has already gone back.”
Jonathan asked, “Which cabin are you in? Let me upgrade you.”
“No need. Economy class will do,” Werner said, turning to board the plane.
Jonathan glanced at Werner’s somewhat dejected figure but refrained from asking further.
Teresa pulled a light blanket over herself, settling down to sleep. Jonathan, having boarded, sat quietly beside her, careful not to disturb her.
Teresa’s eyes suddenly snapped open, and she said, “The more I look, the more I see the resemblance between those two.”
“Who?” Jonathan asked.
“Werner and Sanford look like they were cast from the same mold,” Teresa remarked.
Jonathan’s hand paused on the document, and his brows furrowed slightly.
Teresa turned to Jonathan and asked, “Just whose son is Sanford, really? Is he your half–brother, or is he Donald’s brother?”
Jonathan recalled that the DNA test had been conducted using Hayden’s and Sanford’s samples. His expression turned icy as he said, “I refuse to acknowledge him as my brother.”
Noticing Jonathan’s clear dislike for Sanford, Teresa let the matter drop. She closed her eyes again to rest.
Once they arrived at Nareigh, Teresa and Jonathan went their separate ways.
Teresa’s secretary was already waiting to pick Teresa up.
Jonathan was heading back to Horizonlead Group while Werner was going home, so they shared a ride.
Werner noticed Jonathan giving him a few extra glances and asked, “What’s up? Is there something on my face?”
Jonathan looked away and suddenly remarked, “You know, Sanford kind of looks like you.”
Werner stiffened. Then he forced an awkward chuckle and said, “Is that true? Like uncle, like nephew, they say?”
Jonathan retorted, “Then how come I don’t look anything like you?”
Werner cleared his throat awkwardly and said, “Come on now, how could Sanford and I possibly look alike?”
Werner arrived home and went inside.
Cathy grew anxious when she saw Werner return alone. “Well? Is everything settled now?” she asked.
Werner shook his head and said, “The kid’s staying in Shaville. Jonathan made it clear that the kid couldn’t take the Lynn surname or return to the Lynn family.”

Chapter 550
Cathy said, “Jonathan’s right, if they bring that illegitimate child back into the family, it would turn everything upside down. Wouldn’t that just drva. Irene mad?”
Werner frowned and said, “You sound like you’ve got an issue with Irene. What’s up?”
Cathy sneered, “After all that’s happened, she doesn’t even treat me like family. So why
should I treat her as one?”
Cathy was done discussing Irene with Werner and turned to ask him for money. She wanted to from home.
Werner retorted, “Cheryl doesn’t even have a driver’s license. What’s she going to drive?”
Cheryl a car to make her life easier while living away
Cathy said, “Cheryl’s already enrolled in driving lessons. You know how fast young people get their driver’s licenses these days It’ll only take about a month. She wants a Mercedes. Why don’t we just get her one?”
Cathy knew that Werner still had over 100 thousand in cash on hand. She thought, ‘That’s enough for a Mercedes coupe for Cheryl‘
Werner averted his gaze and said, “Let’s just wait until Cheryl gets her license. No rush to buy her a car right now.”
Cathy frowned and said, “Ordering a car takes time, and then you have to wait for delivery. Let’s just order one for her now. This way, once she gets her license, she can hit the road right away. Wouldn’t that be great?”
Under Cathy’s scrutinizing gaze, Werner couldn’t evade and could only say, “I’ll place the order for her in a couple of days.”
