Chapter 44
Lotus POV
I wrote the report and handed to the teacher, she said she’s going to read it right away, and give me a follow–up on my words. I turned bloody red again, why does she need to give me special treatment, I’m just like the others, nothing too special about me.
“You don’t have to, miss,” I say bloody red.
“I want to, I need to check it and make sure you’re all good before you head off for the spring break,” she says.
“Okay,” I agree with her, I can’t wait for the break, days without school, and without having to wake up early and sleep early.
“You did a good job, Lotus, keep it going,” the teacher smile making me feel relieved, she read it really quickly.
“Thank you,” I thank her still bloody red.

“I loved the part where you wrote about other Lunas and how they treat their own duties, please tell Miss Spice I agree with her mug idea, I should’ve done that when I go visit,” she says with a chuckle.
“Miss, are you a Luna?” I ask her with a raised brow the curiosity getting the best of me.
“Nope, I’m mated to a delta, we spend our time between here and home, he’s like the guy that comes after the beta,” my teacher explains to me, so that’s why she’s such a good teacher?
“Oh…okay,” I say pretending to have understood what she said, I

turned to Uncle Damian hoping for him to help, to say something, to do something here, he’s here for a reason right?
“We’ll see you after the break,” Uncle Damian says, that’s the best he could come up with?
“Bye,” I agree with him, and we both left her class, I wish I started taking these classes a bit earlier, they would’ve helped if I knew things earlier and if I had more time to study everything.
“So what do you think? Are you still in shock?” My mate uncle Damian asks me.
“I don’t get in shock,” I answer him.
“You do, I should’ve taken a pitcure, you have the best face ever,” he says teasing me, I smacked his shoulder the best I could, but I knew it didn’t hurt him, only made my hand sore.
“You’re a jerk,” I whine.
“I’m your mate, show some respect,” he says in a teasing growl, I knew he wasn’t serious, when he’s serious, his voice goes much deeper and scarier.
“Nope,” I say, teasing back.
“Come on girl,” he says with a whine.
“Never,” I answer him with an evil giggle.
“I’m going to leave now see you in the evening,” he says as usual, he gotta take over the classes Thalia exchanged with him for the morning off.
“Bye,” I say going to meet with my friends, asking them about their plans for the break, I didn’t think I had any plans, but I’m fine with

hearing theirs.
“Roxie and I are going fishing with my grandpa,” Rosie says sounding excited.
“You have a grandpa?” Nutmeg asks her.
“You like fishing,” I ask her confused.
“I have a family,” Rosie says.
“I swear, I only met her mother once! And the only reason I met her was because I needed stitches after falling from a tree,” Nutmeg says.
“You fell from a tree,” I ask Nutmeg.
“Of course she did, she’s like the worst monkey,” Rosie says giggling.
“Who told you so!” Nutmeg objects yet again.
“Momma did when she got home,” Rosie says.
“So, about your family, tell us more,” Nutmeg asks her.
“I have a mother, father, siblings, aunties, uncles, and grandparents,” she says with a sigh.
“They all like you?” I ask her, I can’t imagine having that much family, all I had was mom.
“Most of them do, I’m the youngest,” she answers us.
“Are you fishing here? Or going back home?” I ask her, since everyone seems to be going back home to their pack.
“Here, Grandpa is coming over to take me,” Rosie says with the same calm smile.

“You’re evil,” I gasp which only made them both giggle, the day went slowly, Nutmeg offered to drive us both home, so she could keep on interrogating Rosie about her family.
“Meggy, stop asking, she has a family, do you think she fell from the moon?” Mariano scolds his mate.
“Momma says, the goddess sent me to earth, maybe moon isn’t too far away,” Rosie says.
“You are a gift of course, we’re lucky to have you,” Mariano assures her.
“Wait, wait, if this isn’t the snow pack home, where is it?” I ask them confused, I just noticed this compound is just for work, no one actually lives here.
