“Nutmeg, are you home or are you busy making out with Mariano still?” I ask her. in a leasing voice, I haven’t seen her since the night of the party, she has fallen ill for two days, stomach bug, and now she’s fine, but Mariano is refusing to let her out of his sight, which means she skipped school yesterday.
“I’m home. I’m ready to kill my mate if he doesn’t get off my butt,” she says in an angry voice, and I could just imagine her now glaring at Mariano, telling him to get off her bum.
“Wanna come up?” I ask her, I didn’t want to go down and spend time at her home, knowing that Mariano won’t leave us alone and I wanted to talk to her in private.
“I’ll be there in a minute,” she answers me, ending the call, I got up and went to the kitchen and got some snacks ready for when she gets here, I made sure to get everything she likes, because I’m a good friend like that.
Five minutes later, my friend was planted in my bed, a big bowl of popcorn in her lap, she looked like she lost some weight, but other than that she was fine.
“You’re thinner,” I comment, not sure if she’ll be mad at me for mentioning her weight.
“I spent the last three days in the bathroom, pucking and having the

worst diharea of my life, and to make everything worse, Mariano refused to leave me in peace, saying he’ll be there for me,” she says making me flinch, that must be extra uncomfortable, having your mate there with you the whole time.
“I’m sorry to hear that,” I say feeling really sorry for my friend.
“Don’t worry about it, now tell me about you, what’s up? I need to know how the rest of the world is doing,” she says making me giggle
“I have an uncle, a hot uncle,” I say making sure to tell her how hot that bitch is.
“Mom’s side?” she asks me confused, who’s call their real life, blood related uncle hot, or sexy, that’s just sick in the head, he’s my step uncle, I can talk like that about him, it’s fine.
“Nope, Wolf’s side,” I assure her, and I could see the relief on her face. I know it’s too weird.
“Okay, tell me more, what pack is he from? What he like? What happened? Spill!” she urges me
“Isn’t he from same pack as wolf?” I ask confused, they are related so they must have the same pack.
“No necessarily, some siblings move to different packs, sometimes neighbouring pack, or maybe a relative one from mom side, aunt side…you know, you go where you belong,” she informs me.
“Then I have no idea, I didn’t think to ask him, I thought you all belong to same pack by default,” I answer her.
“You need to take some wolf classes,” she says shaking her head.

“Do I really need to?” I whined, but I was interested in knowing some more about the wolves, and the way they lives.
“Only if you want to, now tell me more about that uncle of yours,” she
says.
“Okay, so he came in while I was super sick, I think we might have gotten the same virus, and I had very high fever, I don’t remember anything after that night, I just woke up and turn out there’s a sexy uncle around who’d like to spend some time with me.” I say all too happily, remembering the day we spent together.
“Wow. that’s really good, it’s an old dream of mine, to just wake up and find a sexy guy around,” she says with a dreamy sigh.
“You got Mariano.” I remind her.

“I know but he’s my mate, it’s different,” she says making me giggle.
“So I got some more news for you.” I say, wanting to tell her about the visitation I got.

here. tell me!” she says all excited. I missed this girl, and I miss
her full energy into everything.
“So he’s a new teacher in the academy and he offered that we come and visit him, all of us, me you, and Rosie, only if you guys want to,” I say quickly not wanting her to feel forced to go with me anywhere.
“A trip to the academy? Where I can annoy Mariano and he can’t tell me off, count me in,” she says happily.
“Yay! Do you think Rosie would like to come too? I’ll call her and

ask.” I say not sure about our other friend, she got special circumstances.

“I don’t know, you’ll have to ask her, call we’ll ask her together,” she says and I nod, opening my phone, calling her number, putting her on speaker.
“Hello,” she says in a low shy voice, she has my number, and she
knows it’s me, but she’s still worried and scared every time she answers the phone.
“It’s us.” I say trying to help her relax, it’s nothing dangerous, except me and Nutmeg.
“Who’s us?” Rosie asks.
“Her and me! Don’t you miss me,” Nutmeg says taking over, I could hear her let out a breath of relief, why is she so scared?
“Are you okay? Do you need help? We can come by,” I say, offering her that I’ll come right away for her aid.
“I
can make Mariano stop by, make the patrol stop by, I’ll come by,” Nutmeg says.
nd I don’t like staying home alone. “Mom got a night shift tonight, and I don’t like staying home alone,” Rosic confess.
“Night shift?” I ask, is her mother a stripper or something?
“My mom is a nurse.” she says and that made a lot more sense than the stripper part.
“I can ask mom to come by, and you can stay with us tonight.” Nutmeg

“I don’t want to be a burden on the beta,” Rosic says.
“She won’t mind, she’s gonna be near you anyway, and she adores you,” Nutmeg assures her.
“Yeah. please tell her to pass by if possible,” Rosie says, Nutmeg assured her she’s gonna talk to her mother and ended the call, we’re going to talk in person then, instead of asking Rosic on the phone.
“Is she okay?” I ask Nutmeg worried for her.
“She doesn’t like being alone, that makes sense.” Nutmeg says with a shrug.
ay, we’ll ask when she get here?” I ask and my friend nods, I went on and told her all about my ice cream date, and how he allowed me to drive for a bit.
“Does he have a mate?” Nutmeg asks me all of the sudden, I have been going on and on about how much I like this guy and enjoy my time with him, and now I gotta confess he got a mate waiting for him back at home.
“He does, turn out I have an auntie somewhere out in the wild, but she needs some time to get used to things, so he gave her some space,” I tell her, repeating the information uncle Damian has given me.
“Space? Get used to? That doesn’t sound like a wolf at all,” Nutmeg says with a shake of her head.
“You think he’s lying to me? About having a mate? Why would he?” I say, it doesn’t make sense for him to lie about something like that.
“I don’t know baby, but it’s just weird,” she says with a shrug, maybe he’s just different, so I didn’t comment on that any further.
We hanged out in my home until the beta has brought Rosie and dinner over, I was invited to dinner over their place, and since uncle was busy, and I didn’t feel like spending more time with wolf, I decided to go down and spend the night over at Nutmeg’s place.
“Mom is offering to buy me a fully trained cane corso,” Rosie says.
“What’s that?” I asked confused.
“A bodyguard dog, they’re worse than wolves, some says they were made by Celine,” Nutmeg says.
“I’m gonna google it,” I say, opening my phone and looking with shock. that looks like a dog on steroids, and I said it out loud.
“Yeah, she said it’ll obey me, so maybe I get to dominate someone after all,” Rosie says with a timid smile.

“I have an open invitation to visit a sexy uncle in the academy, wanna come and ambush your brothers?” I ask her and she smiles.
“Can we wait till I get the dog?” she says happily.

“What are you calling the dog?” Nutmeg asks.
“I think Roxie, or Rockie, or maybe Doggy,” she says the last one
giggling.

Three days later, we were ready to visit the academy along with Roxie, Rosie’s new scary–looking bodyguard dog, she said the dog is trained. to bite her own siblings if they dare come near her without her permission. Woll offered to drive us there and back home once we’re ready to leave, since Roxie won’t fit in Uncle’s car.
“Remember, you’re part of the snow pack, all the student inside are under the wolf law and they can’t touch you or hurt you risking getting expelled or worse,” wolf says.
“I got Mariano with me,” Nutmeg says with a shrug, and I got my uncle who invited me over, and that leaves Rosie to pick who she wants to hang out with.
“Oscar and Oliver said they want to show off me and Roxie, I’m staying with my siblings,” Rosie says.
“Show you off or the dog?” Wolf asks.
“My control over the dog,” Rosie says too proudly, from what Nutmeg

“That’s cool, but make sure not to bite anyone without a reason, it’ll be too much paper work for me,” Wolf says making everyone laugh.
The academy looked like a normal school, but right away I could see wolves, running around in their beast form, there was human as well, no one seemed to care about the wolves, but I did, I didn’t want to g near them.
“Do the wolves walk inside the building too?” I ask hoping I’d be safe inside.

“Some yes, but most of them stay out where they got more space to move,” wolf answers her.
“Are you driving us inside?” I asked, fingers crossed.
“Yeah, I’m handing you over to your escorts, although might spend some extra time with the twins and the dog,” he says.
“I don’t mind,” Rosie says with a sigh.
“You’re here,” Uncle Damian says with a giant smile, seeing that we made it.
“We are,” I say happily, all four guys were out here waiting to welcome us in, both girls gave me a thumb up, I was right, the guy, my step uncle, is extra hot.
“You didn’t tell me he’s the sexy uncle,” I heard Mariano tell Nutmeg, I was quick to glare at them, not nice.
“You called me sexy uncle?” Damian asks me.
“It’s all Nutmeg’s words, not mine,” I object.
“Come on, let’s go in, you guys are fine to go by yourself?” Uncle Damian asks the rest and they all gave him their approval.
“Where are we starting?” I ask him.
“I wanna start by showing you where I woke, I’m a training officer, which means I get to yell at everyone and they have to obey me while I make them crawl on the ground or do a duck walk,” he says making me giggle. I’d love to see that.
“Okay, show me, officer,” I say happily, he moved toward the outside
where the other wolves were, but since Uncle was so close to me, and the other wolves were far away, I felt like it’s okay to be around here, and just watch the human part of the academy.
