Aspen gave a sly smile. “Then you’re the one who’s confused. You might not have heard, but Supreme Capital Group is a new company founded by Andrew and me right Here in Blumedale.
“You tried borrowing money from your old rival? Christic, looks like you’re not doing so well in this city after all.”
Christina’s face flushed bright red with embarrassment. “What did you just say? Supreme Capital Group was founded by you and Andrew?
“That’s impossible. The company’s registered capital is 50 billion! You and Andrew could afford that? Do you even hear how ridiculous that sounds?”
Her composed expression crumbled, replaced by panic and disbelief.
Aspen felt incredibly satisfied seeing the humiliation on Christina’s face. Without saying another word, she pulled out her phone and showed her the company’s registration license.
Christina took one look, and her face turned ghostly pale, frozen in disbelief.

Even Irene and Leroy stood there in stunned silence, their expressions caught somewhere between awe and horror.
“A 50–billion–dollar company? Where the hell did you two get that kind of money?” Leroy asked, eyes wide.
Aspen snorted. “Get lost. It’s none of your business.”
Irene, flustered and furious, lashed out. “Aspen! No matter what, Christina is still your cousin–your family! Why are you acting so high and mighty now? If you won’t help your family, at least don’t rub salt in the wound! Do you even have a heart?”
Aspen’s voice turned icy. “Irene, I’ve seen right through your whole family a long time ago. Pulling the family card now only makes me sick.”
Irene fumed and lunged forward, ready to strike.
“Mom, stop!” Christina shouted.
She stared at Aspen, eyes filled with suspicion. “The company is registered under Andrew’s name. 50 billion…. Aspen, you’re not dumb. Do you really believe Andrew has that kind of money? Are you sure you’re not being scammed–completely and utterly?”
Aspen scoffed. “Keep lying to yourself if that makes you feel better. Let me tell you something–Andrew’s depth is way beyond what you think you know. And honestly, I should be thanking you. Your blindness and your games are what gave me this chance to rise.”
Christina gritted her teeth. “So you’re fully committed to being one of Andrew’s people now? Don’t you feel the slightest bit ashamed?”
A warm, almost unnatural flush spread across Aspen’s cheeks as she smiled confidently. “Ashamed? Not even a little. You threw yourself at Andrew time and time again, and he didn’t even give you the time of day.
