Damien’s gaze fixed intently on the documents in his secretary’s hands.
What are you holding? And what do you mean she’s missing?”
The secretary handed over the crumpled papers he’d been clutching.
“Miss Violena just sent her resignation letter to the company email. And this…”
“It’s her stock transfer agreement. She’s unconditionally transferred all her company shares to you.”
Damien froze, staring at the stack of documents.

The Scott Family Group had been founded by Delcher and Violena together, so naturally Violena owned her share of the company.
Before Damien could speak, Rosy let out a mocking laugh from the hospital bed.
Is Violena mentally ill or something? After chasing you for three years and realizing she can’t have you, now she’s playing hard to get?”
‘Damien, don’t worry. This is just another one of her schemes. She probably saw us together last night and couldn’t handle it, so she came up with this little tunt today!”
You should thank me, actually. Now that this pest is gone, we can finally be together properly. Plus we got her shares-what a nice bonus.”
Damien said nothing, his eyes locked on the stock transfer document.
Damien had known Violena for three years. After three full years together, how could he not understand her?
n all this time, no matter how unreasonably he behaved, Violena had been completely accommodating and forgiving. No matter what he did, Violena had never nce mentioned leaving.
Violena’s love had always been straightforward and honest. She wouldn’t stoop to playing hard to get.
eeing Damien’s prolonged silence, Rosy began to panic.
Damien, you’re not actually falling for Violena’s trick, are you?”
Though I guess that’s understandable-you’re a man, so you wouldn’t know about women’s manipulative tactics. I’ve seen plenty of women like her. She’s just rying to control you with this move.”
[earing Rosy continue this way, Damien felt an inexplicable surge of irritation.
Whatever’s between her and me has nothing to do with you! Stop projecting your twisted thoughts onto her.”
osy was startled by Damien’s low, threatening tone and quickly tried to backtrack.
Damien, that’s not what I meant. I’m just worried she’s deceiving you.”
Don’t worry about it. You don’t like her anyway-you’ve always found her annoying, right? Now that she’s gone, isn’t that perfect?”
Damien, did you know? I’m pregnant!”
We can have a wonderful life together now. Aren’t you happy? A gold-digger like her-good riddance! She’s not worth feeling sorry for!”
his time, Damien looked directly into Rosy’s eyes.
Pregnant? Didn’t I tell you that I’d play along with whatever you wanted, give you whatever you asked for, but pregnancy was off the table?”
Rosy, you’ve crossed a line.”
After saying this, Damien ignored Rosy completely. He could feel his unease growing rapidly, as if something was spiraling beyond his control.

If your stomach hurts, find a doctor. Coming to me won’t help.”
“I wore protection every single time we had sex, so you know better than I do how this baby came about.”
“I’d advise you not to try manipulating me with a child.”
Dainien didn’t spare Rosy another glance as he left the room with his secretary
Once outside, Damien stopped and turned back to look through the room’s window, his eyes fixed on Rosy, who was still sitting stunned on the hospital bed.
He felt like… something was wrong.
Damien pulled his gaze away and strode toward the hospital exit.
“Find out everything! What exactly happened these past few days, where Violena went-I want it all investigated thoroughly!”
