Chapter 136: Confrontation and Confession
Chapter 136: Confrontation and Confession
(Aria’s POV)
Dominic was completely startled by my sudden outburst of tears. He stood frozen for a moment, his confident Alpha demeanor crumbling as he watched me break down.
“Don’t cry,” he said desperately, reaching out to wipe away the tears streaming down my
face.
But the tears kept falling one after another, blooming warm and wet on his fingertips. The heat of them seemed to burn him, making even his strong hands tremble slightly.
I remained silent, only crying soundlessly. Though my swallowing movements clearly showed I was
suppressing something much deeper, my wolf whimpering anxiously within me.
“Please, Aria, don’t cry,” Dominic pleaded, his usual commanding presence somehow gentle and vulnerable.
“It’s all my fault. You can hit me or scold me, anything you want. Just please don’t cry like this.”
His powerful Alpha scent shifted with genuine distress as he watched my tears continue to fall. His silver–gray eyes held a panic I’d never seen before.
“I can’t stand seeing you hurt because of me,” he whispered.
After what felt like an eternity, my tears finally began to slow. I wiped my face with the back of my hand, though my eyes remained red and swollen from crying too long.
My pregnant wolf felt exhausted from the emotional turmoil.
“Are you still angry with me?” Dominic asked carefully, his voice uncertain.
I first shook my head, then nodded, leaving him looking somewhat helpless. His eyes searched my face with deep concern.
“So are you angry or not?” he pressed gently.
I looked up at him, my voice hoarse from crying. “Why did you have to hide this from me? All this time, I was so worried about who the father was, and you knew the entire time!”
Dominic’s jaw tightened with guilt. “I wanted to tell you several times, but I never found the right moment.” His Alpha authority wavered with genuine uncertainty.
“When you were investigating the pack/servant incident, I had truly made up my mind to confess everything to you,” he continued. “But then you said you hated ‘that Alpha‘ from the territorial gathering.”
I suddenly remembered this incident vividly. The way he’d looked at me that day, the hesitation in his voice. He had indeed intended to tell me then.
My wolf stirred restlessly as the memory surfaced clearly.
“You were going to tell me then?” I asked quietly.
“Yes,” he admitted. “But after hearing how much you despised whoever had been with you that night, I lost my courage.”

Dominic carefully studied my expression. “Are you still angry with me now?”
This was the first time I had ever seen such an anxious expression on his face. His usual Alpha confidence. was completely absent, replaced by genuine vulnerability.
Although I was still upset about his deception, thinking about all the countless favors I owed Dominic made my words of blame dissolve into nothing.
My pregnant wolf recognized his genuine remorse.
The old saying about “taking someone’s hand makes you soft, eating someone’s food makes you short was absolutely true. I had accepted too much from him to maintain righteous anger.
I huffed in frustration and turned my head away from him, my hand instinctively moving to my belly where our unborn pup was growing.
“I suppose I can’t stay mad at you forever,” I muttered.
Dominic’s face broke into a smile like melting ice and snow. Relief flooded his features as his scent shifted with happiness.
He directly pulled me into his strong arms, his large hand stroking my hair and comforting my back.
“Alright, don’t be angry anymore,” he said soothingly. “Getting angry at someone like me isn’t worth it. What if it hurts your health or affects the pup?”
Hearing him coax me like a child while his powerful Alpha presence wrapped protectively around me, I couldn’t help but feel both amused and exasperated.
I quickly pushed him away. “I haven’t completely forgiven you yet.”
Dominic nodded immediately, though his eyes couldn’t suppress his relieved smile.
“I’ll accept any beating or scolding,” he said with mock solemnity. “I’ll obey completely and accept any punishment you decide.”
Seeing him getting more and more ridiculous, I quickly tried to end this conversation.
“Fine, this matter should be considered past. No one can mention it again in the future.”
But Dominic’s lips curved slightly, his eyes growing deep and dark with flowing intensity.
“That won’t do,” he said firmly.
Tlooked at him in confusion, my wolf whimpering with uncertainty.
“What do you mean? I already said I would forgive you and never bring it up again. Why won’t you agree to
that?”
Dominic brushed the hair from my forehead behind my ear, his gentle touch sending shivers through my skin. “Since you’re not pursuing the matter of me taking advantage of you,” he said with a growing smile, ‘shoul we talk about you taking advantage
o me?”
“What do you mean?” I asked in complete confusion, my wolf stirring restlessly within me.
Dominic’s smile grew wider, taki?
on a roguish handsomeness combined with aristocratic nobility that
made his Alpha presence even more magnetic.

“It was my first time,” he said simply.
I was completely stunned, my heart pounding as the implications crashed over me like a wave,
“Your… first time?” I stammered.
“Since we slept together, you should take responsibility,” Domniriic continued with that devastating smile. “What do you think, junior schoolmate?”
My face turned bright red at his words, my wolf practically howling with embarrassment.
“I… that’s not… you can’t just…” I sputtered incoherently.
“What’s wrong? Has your tongue been carried away by a cat?” he teased gently.
I finally found my voice, though my face remained burning hot.
“In such situations, it’s usually the she–wolf who suffers the loss!” I argued defensively.
Dominic raised his eyebrows questioningly. “Is that so?”
He casually pulled out his mobile phone and typed something into the search bar. When he showed me the screen, I saw he had searched “The most desired Alpha King in the Northern Territory.”
Dominic’s name appeared first with countless results flooding the screen!
I stared at the phone in complete disbelief. There were articles, forums, and even fan pages dedicated to him.
“So tell me,” Dominic asked with mock seriousness, “who is really at a disadvantage here?”
He gestured to the phone screen. “I’ve never marked any other she–wolf in my entire life. I’ve never confessed to anyone before you. I’ve never courted anyone.”
His powerful Alpha scent intensified with complete sincerity.
“So between the two of us, who exactly is losing out in this arrangement?”
I tried desperately to change the subject. “We should rejoin my colleagues. They’ll be wondering where I
went.”
But Dominic grabbed my wrist gently but firmly.
“Are you planning to abandon me after getting what you wanted?” His eyes flashed with playful danger. Realizing I couldn’t escape this topic today, I resigned myself to discussing it properly. My pregnant wolf whimpered anxiously within me.
“Fine,” I said with exasperation. “How exactly do you want me to take responsibility?”
Dominic’s expression became thoughtfully serious. “What do Alphas and she–wolves usually do to take responsibility after such intimate relations?”
This question left me completely speechless. Naturally, they would have a marking ceremony and form proper mate bond.
Moreover, with Dominic’s pup now growing in my belly, it would more accurately be called a “claiming by necessity.”
“You’re being completely unreasonable!” I accused.
“I’m being unreasonable?” Dominic countered with raised eyebrows. “You’re the one being unreasonable first.

He ticked off points on his fingers. “Sleeping with me but not wanting to take responsibility. Trying to abandon me afterwards. How is any of that reasonable?”
“That’s not what happened!” I protested.
“While you don’t need me to take responsibility for our night together,” Dominic continued with Alpha authority evident even in his playful stubbornness, “I want you to take responsibility for me.
He leaned closer with that devastating smile. “Besides, being reasonable doesn’t get you a mate.
When his gaze moved tenderly to my abdomen, his voice softened. “And there’s the pup to consider too
“Dominic!” I called his name in complete exasperation.
But he remained playfully persistent, his silver–gray eyes twinkling with mischief.
“So have you decided to take responsibility yet?”
