Chapter 118
physt’s expression darkened as he snapped back, “She’s a Gibson by blood. Why wouldn’t she have the right to come homet Evan’s plecs of User dat you gets to stay in this house, to what’s wrong with her being here!”
Gabriel’s face turned ugly after Wyatt’s harsh words. “Dadi”
Abigail hadn’t expected Wyatt to be so brutal when he got angry.
“I came back specifically to stand up for Abby,” Wyatt said, leading her further into the house. He stopped at the shoe cabinet and looked around, he voice dropping low. “Why aren’t there any slippers for Abby in this house?”
“She moved out a long time ago,” Bianca answered immediately, her eyes settling on Abigail standing behind Wyatt. She never expected Abigail would actually come back.
“She took her own things. What I’m asking is why you didn’t set up a proper closet for Abby.” Wyatt’s tone was sharp and demanding,
Gabriel frowned, “Dad-”
“Daniella’s just an adopted daughter, but she has her own walk–in closet upstairs with enough shoes to wear a different pair every day. Why doesn’t Abby have any of that?”
Wyatt grabbed an expensive sculpture from the entryway cabinet and hurled it at Gabriel’s feet. “What kind of parents are you?”
The sculpture shattered into pieces, making both and Bianca jump. Even Daniella, who’d been sitting on the couch, shot to her feet in shock. “Grandpa, Mom was going to—”
“Shut your mouth! When we are talking, you don’t get to interrupt.” Wyatt’s voice cut through her words like ice.
Daniella’s eyes immediately filled with tears as she shrank back behind Bianca.
“Dad, how could you talk to Dani like this? Don’t you care about our history at all?” Bianca’s voice carried clear irritation.
“She’s adopted, but she thinks she’s actual Gibson blood. I’m wondering why I should care about her.” Wyatt’s words were blunt.
Bianca started to argue back, but Gabriel stopped her. “Let’s get Abby some slippers first. Dad, your health is okay now?”
“What’s that supposed to mean? Are you hoping something’s wrong with me?” Wyatt shot back.
“Look at you. Ever since you’ve been around Abby, you’ve gotten so sharp–tongued. Come shooting a meaningful look at Bianca.-
–
- Let me help you get some rest,” Gabriel said this while
“Abby, we kept your old room just the way it was. It’s getting late, so let me show you upstairs.” Bianca stepped forward with a fake smile, trying to sound sweet as she reached for Abigail’s hand.
Abigail frowned and coldly pulled away from Bianca’s grasp.
Bianca’s hand hung awkwardly in midair, and she forced out another smile while looking helplessly at Wyatt.
“I’m going to check out her room,” Wyatt announced. He ignored Bianca completely and looked at Abigail with obvious affection.
“Don’t bother changing your shoes. We’ll have the staff clean up later. If any of the servants complain, they can blame the people running this house for not knowing how to treat their guests properly,” he said.
Abigail couldn’t help but smile at how Wyatt was defending her so fiercely. “Okay.” They headed upstairs together.
Bianca sidled up to Gabriel and whispered, “Has Wyatt completely recovered?”

Gabriel didn’t answer and instead followed them upstairs.
(When Wyatt saw Abigail’s room, lils expression darkened even more. He spotted Gabriel coming up the stairs and said bluntly “sive band f tonight. Clear out her room and give it to Abby.”
“Dad, I need to talk to you about something. Can you come to my study?” Gabriel glanced at Abigail standing beside Wyatt and lowered his see
“Tell Blanca to clear out Dani’s room,” Wyatt said with a stern expression.
“Let’s go to the study first,” Gabriel said stubbornly.
“So you’re not going to listen to me?” Wyatt snapped, then shouted downstairs, “Bianca! Where are you? Clear out Dani’s room right now! What’s wrong with you people?”
Gabriel couldn’t control his anger anymore. His face flushed red as he raised his voice. “Dad! Do you really have to do this? You’re going to regret it.
“If you and your wife won’t cooperate, then we’ll redistribute the shares,” Wyatt said firmly.
Gabriel saw Bianca coming upstairs and tried to suppress the rage building in his chest. He shot a harsh glare at Abigail before speaking, “Clear out Dani’s room!”
“Why does it have to be her room? You’re just trying to humiliate her,” Bianca protested reluctantly.
“Just do what I told you and stop arguing!” Gabriel snapped back irritably.
Bianca had no choice but to get the housekeepers to help her.
Daniella had followed them upstairs and heard everything. She stood to the side wiping away tears, looking absolutely pitiful.
Abigail watched coldly as Bianca and the staff moved all of Daniella’s belongings from her bed to the room where Abigail used to stay.
Once they finished switching the rooms, Wyatt told her to go rest while he headed into the study with Gabriel.
